Intraa was formed by two designers, who out of passion and profession have been working for several years for developing state of the art interior spaces and proportionate architectural designs.

Intraa was established in 2009 as a dream project and of these two people and as expected a very meaningful thought process has gone behind the logo and name. Intraa stands for the three I's of Design - Identify, Imagine and Integrate. Identify the need for design, imagine what design could do to a space and to integrate that imagination into a robust, real design.

THE STUDIO

In keeping their philosophy of design, the founders like to call their workplace a studio, rather than an office. For them an ‘office’ limits their scope - all in terms of time and the kind of work they do. A studio means a place alive with activity, the vibes of creating new things and a place where people come to learn through doing. The studio reflects the founders’ design philosophy – every glance is a design element, and the walls are adorned with framed interior design maestros and rugged Indian artefacts. The studio is incomplete without its small, power packed library – our designers’ refuge and guide behind every project. We strongly believe and encourage research, so our design is deep and grounded. Our work culture is open and we encourage our team to take up projects and get involved in all its stages – right from sketching to execution. We don’t believe in hierarchy or breaking up and limiting of the work process. When we allow a person to undertake all stages of a project, it enables capacity building. This in turn makes a strong, reliable team. The vibe of our office is casual, open and uninhibited. The Studio is nestled in the bustling Law College Road, but surprisingly aloof from the traffic and noise of the main road, providing a place of peace and positivity, something all clients have noticed.

Chinmay Huddar

Principal Architect

An architect by profession, Chinmay brings his strong design and space understanding to the projects they undertake. Amongst the two of them he is also the face of Intraa, handling client communications and public representation in general. For him the client's trust is most important, which has allowed them to experiment and innovate in each of their projects so far. With only this requisite the basket of projects Intraa has is very interesting in terms of the variety and scale.

Vrunda Satarkar

Principal Designer

Vrunda always knew intuitively that she was a design person - always eager to create, experiment and never complacent about the outcomes. Her motto is never to do the same thing twice as far as possible, and surprisingly never to get stuck in a signature style of designing. She places her client at the centre of her design, firmly believing that when a client opens the door to a space designed by her, the client feels it is his/ her own and not the designer's. She is a doer at heart, her sense of color, her confidence to take up new things and do them herself, be it trying new materials or just picking up a brush and painting huge canvases for clients is what sets her apart. At Intraa, she drives the design process through client research, experimentation with materials, innovation and ultimately design development.
